Disney

In just 3 weeks I will be returning to Disney for the first time this year!  It is hard to believe it has been so long since I’ve visited!

This was supposed to be a solo short trip, but then my family found out I was going, so they have decided they want to go too.  Since I had already booked All Star Sports, that is where the three of us will stay.

Last December, the Genie+ was still working out quite a few bugs in the system, and the DAS was actually having shorter wait times than the Lightning Lanes.  It will be interesting to see if that is the same this trip.
Last year we tried for a full month prior to our visit to get the advanced pre-arrival DAS and never could get through.  Well, I am glad to say it was so much easier this time around!  Even easier than I expected!

It only took a 15 minute wait to get connected (of course I did wait until  7 pm to try and get on), and then another 20 minutes to fill out the format get our two advance DAS for each day of our stay.
Of course, we were prepared.
I had printed out the list of attractions that were possible to get on the advance DAS (from this link) and my son had chosen his top 4 choices.  (they will ask you for your top three choices).  These will not include the top rides and/or attractions, but those can be added individually at the parks.
I knew to be at my computer that had camera and NOT my phone, and to have my son standing by.
I had made sure all my party was listed on the park reservation for the day with a valid ticket and all was showing on My Disney Experience correctly/

A couple of tips:
  • Don't use any symbols AT ALL when filling out the form!  For instance I filled out the date as 10/11/22 and it was wrong!  They wanted 101122!  and don't put commas between the three selections!
  • Be prepared for the app to time out when filling out the form!  Type fast!
  • The form will ask you to choose a time period for your selections...like morning, afternoon , or evening.  From what I can see, you only get to choose ONE.
  • They do give you a chance to go ahead and double check to make sure your party is correct and the dates and times will work.  But if you go to look at it on your computer you 'might' loose the chat, so check that on your phone to be safe!
Now that we have these two per day, I have a tentative schedule for our trip.  Then, with Genie+ and the additional DAS we should be able to get everything we want at the parks!
