That is a lot like asking a Mom which is her favorite child! They are all great and varied and have their own strengths and weaknesses. Depending on your budget, you will find everything from over the top Disney theming perfect for the kids with their favorite characters sprinkled all over the place, to luxury resorts that will pamper the parents at every turn, and everything in between! In just 3 weeks I will be returning to Disney for the first time this year! It is hard to believe it has been so long since I’ve visited! This was supposed to be a solo short trip, but then my family found out I was going, so they have decided they want to go too. Since I had already booked All Star Sports, that is where the three of us will stay.  Christmas Tree at Magic Kingdom 2021 Disney will be releasing their Early 2024 Itineraries SOON!  Disney Dream 2019 I know you are so busy thinking about back to school and the upcoming holidays that this is the furthest thing from your mind.
But I also know you want the best value for your hard-earned vacation dollars. Usually you want to go when its not busy or when it is least expensive, or both! But these days, the crowds are always moderate to heavy and the prices are never going to be like they were years ago. I n other words, those. Free Dining days with low crowds of early Fall are long gone. Although, if you are a Disney+ member, right now there is a pretty sweet deal going on!  Basically for the same reason any professional that provides a service charges a fee. I am running a business. I have years of experience, training, and the knowledge of having been there and done that.  By charging a fee, I can take fewer clients and give more attention to them. By charging a fee, I am not going to push you towards a more expensive resort for a bigger commission. By charging a fee, you can be assured that my #1 thought is for YOU and not the supplier (like Disney or Universal). By charging a fee, when that promotion comes up I am not going to loose money by sitting on hold to reduce the price of your vacation, like I would if I was commission based only. Are there travel agents that don’t charge fees? Yes. They are either not aware of their own worth or try to make up for it in volume sales.
Do I ever reduce my fee? Sometimes. I have a military discount for those using military rates in their travel. We were a military family for 20 years and I appreciate all they do for us. I also offer a reduced fee for returning guests who have referred other clients who have booked with me and paid my fee. Most of my returning guest are like family to me. |
