Ok, so not exactly Live, but I am writing as we are coming back from Disney! So it is almost live! We had a BLAST, especially on Guardians of The Galaxy Classic Rewind! I will never be able to hear Disco Inferno again and not want to scream it out! I don't want to give any spoilers away for those who haven't rode it yet, but I do want to give a few reminders about attempting to get a boarding number.
Didn't make the first one , don't worry, there are usually two or three times to join. Once at 7 am sharp and then again at 1 pm. on some days they also add one at 3 pm, but only rarely. I missed our first chance (because I forgot to be on the Disney Guest Wifi), but grabbed a boarding group of 146 at 1 pm. Of course, the original estimated time was 7:15 and we had a dinner reservation at 7, so there was a bit of anxiety! But it all worked out! When they call your actual boarding group, it gives you an hour window. And yes, it is DAS friendly. And I will be letting my Special Needs Families have the scoop on that part privately as it is a special service I provide to my clients. I also will be putting together a short info sheet for my Special Needs Families about using the DAS pass to its fullest potential for their individual family. This was, after all, a fact finding mission for them. And while it hasn't changed a lot in the past year, I do have a bit more data to support my original ideas. This trip had a lot of ups and downs, but the ups outweighed the downs! The biggest down was that we didn't have a remodeled room at All Star Sports, and that we weren't able to get my one request - a ground floor room. I guess this is the first time my only request has never been honored at any Disney resort, so there is always the first time! (whine whine, poor pitiful me!) All in all it was a great get away, starting with our winning the Gold Medal in Georgia Special Olympics for Modified Softball (for the second time in a row) and then a week at Disney!
