On this past Wednesday I had the pleasure of attending a supplier training. These are usually fun, sometimes entertaining, and occasionally I walk away with new information. Most of the time it reinforces things I may have learned on my own. This was no exception! I attended a Lunch & Learn by Universal Studios Orlando. As expected, it focused on the new things coming to Universal Studios Orlando. While I had heard a lot about these, this time I was able to see some new and unreleased videos of the wonderful new things! We saw some wonderfully exciting stuff on the Race through New York starring Jimmy Fallon. It took me from thinking it was just a meh ride to something I really wish I could ride! Seeing some of the backstage stuff was really cool! And no, this is NOT the video we saw! The one we saw has not been released to the public yet! Of course the Third Park was the star of the show! For those who haven’t heard, Universal’s Volcano Bay is opening soon. It is not only a water park, but a theme park as well. I am only sorry we will be missing it when we go in early May. This park will have thrilling water coasters for the more adventurous, as well as kiddie specialized rides and lot of family rides. They are even promising a few new restaurants to entice your taste buds! And the best part? If you have a multi-day 2 park to park ticket, you can upgrade it for only $40 more to include all three parks! This water theme park looks to be something that will take at LEAST a full day to explore! Also, new on the horizon is a new hotel opening next year, Adventura. While they didn’t provide a ton of info on that one, it does look exciting!
Also on tap, Cabana Bay is opening new towers. These are opening for reservations starting March 28! These will give you a new option on their family suites. A 2 bedroom suite that can easily sleep 8 people with two bathrooms! We also learned about a new promotion on tickets that will expire on May 31st, with no blackout dates for Spring Break. Since it is expiring soon, I don’t want to go into details here, but you can always reach out to me if you are interested. Over all, I am now even more ready for my trip in May, but a bit bummed that it will be a working trip without a lot of time to explore. Don’t worry, there will be someone to document some of the new and old things for future blog posts! I’m pretty sure all of the Harry Potter stuff will be well documented!
