Stay Premium!Discover the magic of 'staying premium!' Now, before you skip ahead, let's dive into an aspect of your Universal Orlando trip that could save you a pretty penny. Believe it or not, staying premium can save a family of four upwards of $400 on a four-day vacation! Intrigued? Let's explore how. Apart from the regular perks of staying premium, such as enjoying the tranquility of water taxis and having direct access to City Walk via the Garden Walk (a huge favorite of mine), there's more than meets the eye. For those unfamiliar, the Garden Walk is a picturesque passageway, connecting most resorts directly to City Walk or the parks. Meanwhile, the water taxis offer a quick, 5-7 minute cruise to City Walk, bypassing the crowds at the main baggage check. This becomes particularly crucial when the Early Park Admission rushes in. By opting for a premium stay, you get larger rooms, superior onsite restaurants, and a more relaxed atmosphere - all big wins in my book. Here's the real saver though - the cost of the Unlimited Express Pass is bundled into your room fee. That means, with each package purchase, you get an Unlimited Express Pass without paying extra, valid from check-in, right up to, and including your check-out day. If you've ever spent a day at Universal, you'll know the Unlimited Express Pass - which basically cuts waiting time in half on countless rides - is worth its weight in gold, especially during the busy times! For the financial gurus among you, the math is simple. The price of a single day Unlimited Express Pass starts around $98 + tax per person and goes higher with dynamic pricing. Hence, for a party of four, you could be looking at $400 or more per day. Wait until the day of the trip - that price could double. Do bear in mind that Universal only sells a fixed number of passes per day, and once they're sold out, that’s it! As crowds swell and the passes become higher in demand, their price tends to skyrocket. So whether you're eyeing a budget resort or even staying offsite, what seems like a money-saver can easily become a money-drainer. With several of my clients, switching to a premium stay didn't just secure the Unlimited Express Pass for their trip, it also brought additional days’ worth of tickets while keeping cash in their pockets However, if long lines and tiny rooms sound appealing to you, then by all means, ignore this final 'gift.'
